In the words of Def Jam artist BIG KRIT, “if you don’t know what KRIT means by now then b*tch you super late.” It seems that people are finally starting to take notice of the southern rapper who mainly has a large underground following as opposed to mainstream. The artist seems to be perfectly fine with not being fully embraced by mainstream, hence the title of his first studio album Live From the Underground. He has stated many times that he would rather go broke than to lose control of the quality of music he creates.

The Mississippi native dropped his second album Cadillactica last week and it was met with praise and adoration from KRIT fans that had anxiously been waiting for another album since his first was released in 2012. The entire album is a story that opens with the conception of Cadillactica and closes with its departure, almost like an analogy to the journey through life. Known for his conscious messages, metaphors, 808’s, and word play, Krit offers a little something that can satisfy the listening pleasure of any music lover.
