Initially when I saw the preview for the movie Addicted, I wasn’t interested in going to see it. Based off of the movie trailer and the fact that it was written after a novel by Zane, I assumed it would be a two hour porno. Convinced by a friend that it was a pretty good movie I decided to shell out my $10 to go check it out.
After sitting through the first 35 minutes of the film I instantly felt like I had seen this movie before. The movie scenario involved a beautiful young woman named Zoe who has a great career and a picture perfect family. Zoe suddenly feels a void in her life which causes her to seek satisfaction from another man or men in this case. The only difference between this movie and all the other hundreds of movies with the same storyline is that Zoe suffers from a sex addiction which I guess gives her a pass to cheat seeing how she isn’t being sexually satisfied by her husband Jason.
In addition to the movie being very predictable it was overly crowded with sappy and cheesy lines. There was this redundant and annoying catchphrase between Jason and Zoe where they would say to each other “Our love is forever; always been; always will be.” If anything the sex scenes are what save the movie. If you have a little freaky side the movie is definitely packed with enough racy sex to make you leave out with some very naughty thoughts.
My advice to you if you haven’t seen this movie already is, don’t waste your gas money! The best thing about the film is the drop dead gorgeous men! Tyson Beckford, William Levy and Boris Kodjoe are enough eye candy to have any woman or man drooling out of their seats!
