The 42nd American Music Awards premiered last night and it was filled with high and low moments. Of some of the most talked about performances were Jlo and Iggy Azalea’s performance of “Booty.” The 45 year old Lopez seemed to overshadow 24 year old Azalea, showing people that age ain’t nothing but a number. Both Iggy and Lopez showed off their assets during the sexy performance. Iggy won her very first award for favorite rap/hip hop album and she appeared a bit emotional as she explained why the award meant so much to her.
New couple Christina Milian and Lil Wayne gave an awkward performance of their track “Start a Fire.” They attempted to portray a modern day Bonnie and Clyde but it was a fail.
The talented Taylor Swift who never seems to disappoint gave a theatrical, almost Broadway style performance of her song “Blank Space.” Taylor snagged the first ever Dick Clark Award for Excellence.
And how could we not mention the goosebumps Ariana Grande gave viewers as she slayed “Problem” and “Break Free.” She is definitely a modern day Mariah Carey.
