Janay Rice Stands By Her Man

Janay Rice finally tells her side of the story about the altercation that took place in an elevator with her husband, NFL player Ray Rice. About two months ago video footage of the couple leaked which showed Ray knocking Janay unconscious in an elevator. Yesterday Janay sat down with Today Show’s Matt Lauer in a joint interview with her mother to discuss how the entire situation has drastically changed her life.

In the interview Janay stated that she did not consider herself a victim of domestic violence and that the elevator incident was the only time Ray had put his hands on her( The fact that he was so nonchalant after knocking her out definitely makes us give her the side eye…..). Mrs. Rice defended her husband by saying that everyone makes mistakes and that they are human just like everyone else. Ray Rice has been reinstated back into the NFL following his suspension after the elevator footage was released.
