Whitney Houston Movie Trailer Released

After the terrible backlash from fans in response to the Aaliyah movie that premiered on Lifetime last month, fans are again on edge and skeptical about the Whitney Houston movie that is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime next month. Many fans already feel this movie was produced prematurely and with Whitney Houston being one of the greatest icons of all time, fans felt her story was worth telling on the big screen.

Model and actress Yaya Dacosta stars as Whitney in the film. Fans can be at ease somewhat knowing that well respected actress Angela Bassett directed the movie. Angela was a close friend to Whitney and she starred in the hit movie Waiting to Exhale with the late singer. The movie trailer was recently released and it doesn’t look half bad. It’s great to hear that they actually used Whitney Houston’s music and selected actors that bared some similarities to the people they were portraying. Check out the trailer from Buzzfeed here.
