Oscar Nominations are now out!

The biggest award for the film industry has just announced their favorite films and stars for the year. Among the top are Golden Globe Winners Eddie Redmayne for his portrayal in The Theory of Everything and J.K Simmons for his truely frightening character in Whiplash. Both trying to win Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively.

For the ladies we have Meryl Streep's peformance in Into the Woods versus the long undertaking from Patricia Arquette for her role in Boyhood, the movie that took 12 years to film,and the film that just won her a Golden Globe; dueling it out for Best Supporting Actress.

In the Best Picture category we have the most talked about films of the year:

• Selma

• Birdman

• Whiplash

• American Sniper

• Boyhood

• The Grand Budapest Hotel
