Earlier today Marvin Gaye's family won over $7 million dollars in their lawsuit against Pharrell and Robin Thicke.
The Gaye's sued Pharrell and Robin Thicke due to similarities found in the recent hit "Blurred Lines" and the classic by Marvin Gaye "Got to Give it Up."
The family proposed that the creators of "Blurred Lines" stole the music from Gaye. And the judge seemed to agree.
A verdict of this nature could alter the music industry significantly. And tarnish Pharrell's reputation as renowned hitmaker.
